Basic knots
Belays and anchors with bolts and with removable protections
Knowledge of the material and management of the materials on the harness. Learn which gear to use, how the gear, and how to store the gear on the harness.
Learn how to arrive at a belay station, properly make a new belay station, gain confidence with proper rope management, cleaning, and coordinating with your climbing partner for subsequent pitches.
Learn how to climb using single ropes as well as half ropes.
Learn necessary safety maneuvers and when to use them in the mountains.
Abandonment anchors and double rope management

GOALS
Climb independently on multi-pitch routes
Prerequisite Skills
Minimum experience is required. Be able to safely climb on grade IV routes.

BASIC EQUIPMENT
Harness, climbing shoes, helmet, chalk bag
TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT
One large base HMS carabiner, bucket/plate with two screwgate carabiners, one small screwgate carabiner with short kevlar cord (150cm), 4 small screwgate carabiners and 2 kevlar ones (250cm). It will not be necessary to have this material upon first the meeting, but it can be purchased later.
