Corso di scialpinismo e backcountry – 14, 21, 28 Febbraio, 7 Marzo
The ski touring and backcountry course is aimed at all those who have a decent downhill technique and want to experience everything that lies off the beaten tracks and ski lifts.
This course includes four field trips.
Each activity will have a particular focus on a topic.
GOALS
Learn how to plan a trip, how to behave on adventure terrain, risk mitigation and behavior in the event of avalanches, ascent and descent technique, basic notions for handling on a glacier and on steeper terrain.
WHERE
The locations will be chosen from time to time, depending on the snow and meteorological conditions.
Common locations include Lombardy, Piedmont, Val d'Aosta, and Switzerland (Ticino and Canton of Grisons). For safety reasons, the mountain guide reserves the right to vary the dates and itineraries depending on the snow and weather conditions.
Prerequisite Skills
Fair downhill skiing technique and a fair amount of aerobic training are required

BASIC EQUIPMENT
Ski mountaineering clothing, ski goggles or sunglasses, helmet
TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT
Ski backpack, ARTVA, shovel, probe, ski mountaineering boots, ski mountaineering skis with attachment designed for climbing (in the case of snowboarding you will need splitboards and telescopic poles). Sealskins, rampants, telescopic sticks.
EQUIPMENT RENTAL
For those who do not have your own equipment, it is very important to notify the Alpine Guide when registering that you will need equipment, so that the Alpine Guide can rent the equipment from a specialized shop as soon as possible.
