This course is aimed for all of those who already practice mountaineering, have completed a basic mountaineering course, and intend to deepen their technical knowledge to carry out more challenging climbs. How do I use the rope correctly where the terrain is constantly changing? How many times have you said when exiting a multi-pitch route or while approaching the wall, "it's not that difficult, but it would have been much better if we had been tied in"? In mountaineering, when the terrain becomes more rugged, climbing typical roped pitches can become complicated and dangerous. A good mountaineer must know the short rope progression. The following situations are ideal for short rope climbing: easy but difficult to protect traverses, excessive friction of the rope, possibility of moving stones, little evidence of the itinerary, communication difficulties, need for constant progression (on the crest or on snow and ice slopes), need for speed while climbing. There are different techniques that allow you to climb at a constant, safe and fast pace: simultaneous progression, in leaps, long progression.
