When you want to climb in Sicily, the first place that comes to mind is definitely San Vito lo Capo.
Not everyone knowns, however, that Palermo Sicily as well offers crags,incredible walls and landscapes.
With less than a 90-minute flight from Milan you will find yourself in the heart of the Sicilian capital. Palermo is a magical city where history and tradition mix. You will have the opportunity to visit this magical place while meeting other local climbers.
Climb
In addition to having fun, the objective of this four-day adventure will be to refine climbing techniques,
gear management, and how to climb safely.
We will be staying in the beautiful city cliffs of Palermo, and from our accommodation, we will be able to reach some of the most historic cliffs in Sicily in less than 20 minutes such as Valdesi and Bauso Rosso to name a few.
There will also be an opportunity to discover other recently bolted crags.
We will have hundreds of pitches available from 4th grade to 8c, so you will have every opportunity to improve and have fun.
Depending on the participants, it may also be possible to organize multi-pitch climbs on the beautiful walls of Monte Gallo or Monte Pellegrino!
Relax
Usually when you go on a "climbing" holiday you are often lost in some remote valley or island, but this is not the case in Palermo!
The cliffs of Palermo are within the urban passage, which allows us to stay in the city.
In addition to climbing on beautiful cliffs, we will have the opportunity to experience the city of Palermo with all its flavors and aromas, and if the climate allows it, perhaps even take a dip at the beautiful Mondello beach.
During our stay we will have the opportunity to meet the locals who, in addition to climbing tips, will also show us the best places to eat and drink!
Plan
Day 1
Departure early in the morning with the first flight from Milan. Arrival at Punta Raisi airport in Palermo followed by the collection of the rental car. After unloading our luggage, we will begin to get a little familiar with the Sicilian limestone at the Valdesi crag in Mondello. Saturday evening will be spent in the city for dinner.
Day 2
After a classic Sicilian breakfast, we will go to visit the historic Bauso Rosso crag. We will climb as long as our arms allow in the company of the locals. In the evening, we can wander around the center of Palermo in search of the best ca meusa and sfincione sandwiches, the best of Sicilian street food!
Day 3
In the morning visit to the city markets for some wonderful food and, depending on the preferences of the participants, you can discover one of the new secret crags, climb a long route or visit the beautiful Schiavo crag. Afterwards, experience aperitivo and dinner in the best specialty store in Mondello.
Day 4
Would you like to bathe in the sea or visit the Capuchin Catacombs or the cathedral? Or, if you're not tired and want to continue climbing, would you like to go back to the crag? The last day can be used for whatever you want and desire. The only sad constraint is the return flight in the evening!
Safety decisions during excursions remain at the discretion of the guide.

Prerequisite Skills
This experience is suitable for everyone. It is ideal to have a minimum climbing experience of 5a and above, even as second climbers.
